Jean-Baptiste Say

Jean-Baptiste Say (1767–1832) was a leading French political economist of the early 19th century. His major theoretical work was the Traité d’économie politique (1803), which was highly influential in Europe and the United States. He is best known as the originator of Say’s Law of Markets, which is often summarized as "supply creates its own demand."
