Sir Dudley North's 1691 pamphlet, reprinted in 1907 with an introduction by Jacob Hollander. It argues against restrictions on interest rates and the coining of money, and claims that trade benefits all parties, that the world is one market, and that hoarding bullion is pointless. It is among the earliest English statements of free-trade and market-price theory.
