“I stand with the writers. The Guild’s demand is a test of whether corporate media corporations are going to give writers a fair share of the wealth their work creates or continue concentrating profits in the hands of their executives. I urge the producers to work with the writers so that everyone can get back to work.”

Little needs to be said of Obama’s support of striking writers in 2007 considering all that I have explained about the evils of coercive unions. Obama here displays the typical Marxist argument that workers are not getting their “fair share.” But as we now know, market forces dictate that workers are paid in accordance with the market value of the work they produce. But not only will Obama talk Marxist, he, like most politicians, will create more pro-Marxist, anti-capitalist laws that reduce productivity, employment, and salaries, all in the name of doing the opposite.
